Forum Module: if there were several things I would do...

If there were several things I would do to the forum -- all the bells and whistles aside -- it would be to get email when user hashmarks "make visible" to actually display without compromising the security of folders (which I'm not apt to do - running on XP and ASP.NET). I would also make sure that "aggregating forums" worked properly as an option, selecting threads across all groups and forum and not just some (might need to play with this more).  I would find a way to force HTML in signatures when HTML is selected without users having to use markup language. And I'd get that post-level notification working. Gee, no pressure here, huh?

I think the forum is one of the most useful and well-constructed modules there is and clearly a huge amount of work has gone into it. But there's my wish list anyway. :-)  V.

Re: Forum Module: if there were several things I would do...

Version 4.4.5 handles your aggregated forums (ie. showing all forum content here you have permissions to see) as well as fixing notifications as the thread level (you say post level, but its thread level).

As for the other items, I am not sure why you would force HTML in signatures. I would also see the support altering items without markup something the editor provider would handle. I have no idea what you were referring to about the hashmarks and "make visible". That said, I would think that having completed 50% of your requests before even knowing them tells me the module is going in the right direction.
