Show User Role in user posts

Hi,

I've just installed this fantastic portal. I must say that I'm really impressed with it.

I'm planning to run a support forum on the portal, actually that is the main reason for the portal. I would like the users to be able to help eash others, hence it is an open forum where the behavior is set to "Public Moderated" with "No moderation" for registered users. I have a user group "Certified Supporters", these are so to say "authorized supporters".
I would like the user to know, when they recieve answers to their posts from "Certified Supporters" - as these answers is more relieable than general answers.

I guess this could be solved by setting "Show user role" somewhere.... but I can't find this :-(

Anyone who know how to do this - or some other method to let users know which level of support they have been given?

Kind regards,

Troels

Re: Show User Role in user posts

Have you look in the Manual?  http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Development/Forge/ModuleForums/Downloads/tabid/823/Default.aspx

It is a little differnt about the manual is basicly to version 4.4.4 but you can find out there how you have to do the forum settings.

All permission settings also if it a notifocation forum, who gets notification you can moderate is setting up in the Forum configuration / Manage Forums!

Re: Show User Role in user posts

Well, It's not exactly what I want. What I am seeking in a possibility to show the users role when they post in the forum, if a user is member of my custom creatd "Certified Supporter" role - then the post should be tagged with "Certified Supporter" - just like your post is tagged with "www.taunusstein.org".

Thanks.

Re: Show User Role in user posts

There is no feature for this.  But you can add a "system avatar" to the users, that will show th rote status.  So it is handled on this page.
