How do I modify the forum module by using the Forum_04.04.03_Source.zip?

I downloaded Forum_04.04.03_Source.zip in order to study how it works and then make some changes to it. However, after I opened the solution from vs2005 and made necessary reference, I don't know what to do next. What I want is to make some changes and rebuild and see the effect.

Can someone enlighten me?

Much appreciated!

You need Visual Studio 2005 SP 1 installed and the forum module within a DotNetNuke source distribution's DesktopModules folder. You then open the Forum.sln file.

Thanks. I can build it successfully.

By the way, can I do it in the other way by changing the forum codes under dotnetnuke solution and rebulild the solution and not using the Forum.sln? It would be more straightfoward to me if it works.

Re: How do I modify the forum module by using the Forum_04.04.03_Source.zip?

Hi Crispy!

should I unpack all the Forum_04.04.03_Source.zip under the DesktopModules folder? Or only the resources.zip (which is the one that contains the .sln)  that is inside Forum_04.04.03_Source.zip

Thanks!
