Progress?

Hello,

My event log would be quite happy if some of those forum errors get fixed before any new features are added .

It appears to me that de development team adds more features to every new beta. We don't need more skinning options, plugins, etc.. What we need is a stabilization release before any new features release.

Some people from the development team comment on the issue of progress like "its done when it's done", thus bypassing the real problem here. Just compare the realease progress of the DNN Core to the Forums module. The core team chews out a minor realease like every 2 months. Those realeses have to go through the same testing process as any other module. If the core team can do it, then why can't the forum team do it?

Again I quote the forum development team: "it's an open source project" and "it is done by volunteers who do not have a lot of time". Well ... the same applies to the Core team and they can do it so why can't the Forum team do it?

In my (limited outside) view I would think that it is a management issue.

Just my 2 cts.

Re: Progress?

You can not compare the core team witch have a other team structure as a Module Project Team.  Some teams have only one member.  The Forum Module is a very code big module, with a small team.  I am not autorized to give internal stuff outside the team.  So you have to be agree with the information I can give you.
