Re: Similar symptom to recent critical error thread

I'm pretty sure it's my post that clobbered the News forum, and I posted prompty and was still logged in after the post.  Perhaps there was a followup to mine that caused the problem, but if it was mine, then the explanation is off.

Re: Similar symptom to recent critical error thread

I went into my database and found the problematic post.  Changed UserID value from 0 to 1 and problem fixed.  The problematic post now has Anonymous as the User but I'd rather that than a broken forum.

Re: Similar symptom to recent critical error thread

Ok further to the above.

After a refresh the User for the problem post showed as me (because I am UserID 1).  I found the User ID for the original poster, went into database and made the adjustment.  All fixed and one very pleased Web Admin.

Thanks for the fix guys!!!

Re: Similar symptom to recent critical error thread

Is the fix you describe possible to make via the DNN interface?  I have DNN host privileges but no console access.

This is a known issue and corrected for version 4.4.5.  Details here.

I'm having the same issue.  Where can I download this version from?  All I can find is 4.4.3
