Time on Forum Posts

I know I've asked this question, and been answered again, but How can I get the correct settings for time on my forum posts.  I'm setting the time correctly on the host, and portal level, because the Event Viewer posts my login times with DST observed, etc.  But posts on my forum are consistently 1 hour behind.  We are now observing DST in the PST time zone, and I'm wondering if someone can take a look at the issue, and possibly direct me towards fixes  I know It was suggested that my settings be changed to match that of the server's time zone for the host, and the Portal's Time Zone should be the locale I'm displaying the site for.  While my User's time zone is for the Time Zone I'm in.    Am I correct here, or is that amiss?

Thanks bunches.   kod3brkr

Re: Time on Forum Posts

I haved answered this question more time in this forum.  First you have to seting the web.config culture to the culture you are living.  So if you in germany set the culture to DE-de.  Set the portal time zone to the time zone you are.   Now the users have set there time zones in thiere profile where they live, and then the forum gets the right timezone when it is posted by the user.

Re: Time on Forum Posts

this is a limitation of the core framework, which is currently not capable of taking DST into account. There are a number of glitches in the core, simply using local server time, which will look like being accurate to you, but in fact, this only works, if server and portal time zones are identical. All modules trying to use correct user time zones are unable to take DST into account. There are plans for enhancements in the core, but no decision has been taken so far.
