Strange Issue with forums

All this may be something you can help me with or it may not... I'm not sure. I haven't yet determined the exact cause but I suspect the issue I'm having is due to a glitch in the forum module... let me explain the situation:

My forum page will load the main screen showing the sub forums and their most recent posts until it gets to one forum. In that one forum a user just tried to embed a video from youtube in a post. I believe he did it incorrectly and may have pasted the same embed tags into the subject line. The thread can be viewed (with much trickery with urls to get to it in some cases) but it has no tags to be edited, deleted etc. even for the admin account.

I thought I could be more clever than the post, and split the thread, moving the previous post and the bugged one to a trash forum and then deleting the trash forum (taking the post with it) but now I'm getting a series of nasty errors when trying to delete it. Is there anyway from a standard DNN homepage admin account to get into the database to delete the item manually or something? I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of it.

Re: Strange Issue with forums

I think the best way is to look on the Forums Post table on the database and delete the post in that table directly.

Re: Strange Issue with forums

Thank you for the speedy reply... unfrotunately I'm sort of a secondary admin for this site, our main admin has been on hiatus for a while, and while I have access to the admin login, I'm not particularly familiar with DNN (yet). Any chance you could go into detail on how I could do that?
