Removing Post Delete Capability

Hey folks,

We have a situation where we don't want to allow users to move, delete or edit any posts, including their own, once it has been submitted for posting for security & compliance reasons.  Is there a method to disallow this function?

 Cheers,

Kramer

You can use the Forum behaviors with post restriction.  Make sure you have no edit permision setting for the users.

Re: Removing Post Delete Capability

Thanks for the reply.  We're 1/2 way there.

Going to Manage Forums\Edit Forum and setting "General Settings\Forum Behavior" to "Public No Moderation with Post Restrictions" got rid of delete, but still shows "Split and Edit"

I'd like it to be exactly like this forum, where it only shows Quote and Reply.  Very explicit directions would be great.  Thanks again for all the help.

Kramer

Re: Removing Post Delete Capability

Please go to the forum downloads page and download the documentation for the module. This is very clear and explicit.
