a problem with the word angel
Modified By Nick Portelli on 3/20/2006 10:33:54 AM)

Hmm does .gif? Portals http: ForumSmiley 25 www.dotnetnuke.com>.gif" align=absMiddle border=0> work here?  A user has a name with .gif? Portals http: ForumSmiley 25 www.dotnetnuke.com>.gif" align=absMiddle border=0> in it and this forum tries to assign that to a gif image.  How do I correct that?

**edit - Hmm doesn't work here either.  It wouldn't be half bad if a picture actually showed up.  Someone posted this in the Developers forums too.  With a reason why.  I'm assuming I can just delete the entry from the xml.

I can't tell for sure right now as I'm reinstalling everything on my dev box but....

I think this is an issue with the different ways you can embed emotes in a message.  One way is to embed with links so after you add the emote in your message it looks like [/someEmote]. The other way the emote shows up right away as a graphic.

With out having actually tried this yet I'll bet if you go into the Forums configurations and change this the problem would go away.

For the Forum team:  Here I'm typing the problem word.

You'll probably see a broken link above instead of the word mentioned in the subject.
