Re: Problems Reply and New Thread?

I am not clear on what you mean?

Which version do you speak of?

Modified By Hans-Peter Schelian on 9/12/2005 1:06:02 PM)

Chris,

I think I have the same problem.

I have download the new version 3.10.04 and installed on a DNN 3.1.1 version.

After installing, I have added some groups with some forums.

Now I have set in the General settings of the forum the Authorized Edit Roles to registered users, but a registered user do not have write access to the forum (the buttons new  thread, my setting and my posts are not visible).

I have then tried to set the edit permission for registered users in the modules setting, and then the registered users are able to post new threads and so on.

Best regards

Re: Problems Reply and New Thread?

Hans-Peter,

You said you gave registered users edit rights to the module, that is a good thing.  I normally just give registered users edit rights to the mod and that is all.  This has to be a misunderstanding of the module configuration as it would be a universal issue we would see here on DNN.com.

I will keep watching this thread to see what either of you guys come up with.  (The user doc will be out shortly)
