Documentation about editing the module?
Good morning, my company has just rolled out a DNN portal with the Wiki module, and since we won't need several plug-ins (like Back Links) and we want to modify the login links (so there's an extra login to Windows link)

I've resigned myself to the fact we'll need to edit code to do this, and I wanted to see if there was documentation so I don't absolutley kill the wiki by making a mistake.  Any thoughts?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by this?

You could attempt the following. There's an XML file in the wiki module that loads the plugins, you could test removing the backlinks from this XML file to see if it will properly remove it from the wiki module, I believe that was the intention for the module originally, but I had to tweak things a bit to get that XML working, so I'm not sure if removing it will cause problems or not.

Please let me know the results if you get a chance to test this out

Re: Documentation about editing the module?
well, I did manage to comment out the Back Links by editing that xml.  But it didn't change the page right away, it did it overnight.

I wanted documentation to change other things though.  For example, I wanted to try to remove the page title link (At the top of every page, there's the screen icon along with a link to the article).  I was just wondering if you had a developer documentation so I might know where to look for certain things in the code, or if I can even edit the code.

Re: Documentation about editing the module?
Unfortunately no, there isn't an dev docs for the module yet. Being an inherited project most of the knowledge of the development is being (re)learned as we go.

Re: Documentation about editing the module?
ok, is there any chance you can then point me on where to edit out the link at the top of every page (It has the page title and version number for each article)?

We didn't want it there and now it's giving users errors when they click on it because it points to our old database, which has an error on it.
