I think something in the client api is mangling the __dnnVariable input string 

I originally posted this in the Extend It forum here http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/111/threadid/238939/scope/posts/Default.aspx hopefully someone

here can help figure out whats going on. I can supply more info if needed.
