signin with updatepanel

hello

1. i wrapped the signin module with updatepanel.

the this is that after the login is done, i canceled the redirect, and thus the skin and the correct NAV are not loaded (for example control panel and host menu for host account)

is there a way to load the skin again without redirect or fullpostback?

2. can you please tell in few words what are the client API components? what are the include and used to ?

3. my site (just the beggining of development) is very very slow. in fact the signin - async post back takes 10 seconds!

what can be the reason? (it is running on local host!)

thank you very much,

and happy codeing.

Re: signin with updatepanel

I can respond to items 1 and 3.

1.) There is no way without a full postback to have the entire page updated after successful login.

3.) If you login to the site and do a few things and then logout, my guess is that the next time you go to login (if it is right after logout) it is much faster.  Is this correcT if so the issue is related to the fact that ASP.NET must compile the application for the first requst.

Re: signin with updatepanel

I posted a few questions that I've gotten around.  However, on our 2.0 dnn the signin is front and center then after logging in it goes away and you are then given access ... how do I replicate that functionality?  I'm guessing it's documented somewhere but my searches are dead ends today.

help.....

Re: signin with updatepanel

after I successfully login through signin.ascx - how do I make it disappear?  I tried making the panels visible=false but that isn't working...
