Localise Account Login Module and Login,Register keywords on home page

I would be grateful if someone can help me with the following issues :

1. How can I localize the various field labels  and Help text that appear in Account Login Module ( i.e  UserName , First Name,Last Name, Password,Address etc )

2. How can I localize the labels that appear by default on the Home page of a portal  like "Search","Register","Login","Logout"

Are these localizations in resource files or  are they stored in a database table ?

Thank you very much

NickosL

Re: Localise Account Login Module and Login,Register keywords on home page

install an appropriate language pack (see Language Packs page in Resources menu. If there is no LP for your language, you need to create it, using the language editor in host menu. If you want to alter a localization for your portal, use the language editor in admin menu (or, for all portals in your installation, the language editor in host menu, using host mode),

All localization texts are stored in resource files.

Re: Localise Account Login Module and Login,Register keywords on home page

I have just added specfic tabs for login and register (from admin page settings).  This allows me closer control of the look of login and register screens.

The one thing I have lost is the dynamically localised module title for both the login and register modules - is there a way I can retain the localized version?

Re: Localise Account Login Module and Login,Register keywords on home page

Hi, to localize Account Login module in DNN4.7. You need to modify two resource files

1. admin/Authentication/Login.ascx.xx-XX.resx

2. DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/DNN/Login.ascx.xx-XX.resx

Ricky.

Re: Localise Account Login Module and Login,Register keywords on home page

Hi, Sebastian.

I have add some localized text for the User Account Login module with zh-TW language. Two files I have modified (added) are 1. admin/Authentication/App_LocalResources/Login.ascx.zh-TW.resx   2. DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/DNN/Login.ascx.zh-TW.resx

Now I want to put these two resource files into an existing language pack

and the problem is where I need to put the second resource file?

Thanks,

Ricky.
