Accents on custom module.

Hi.

I'm new to module development and i build a simple contact mail module.

Everything works fine but my module text don't show accents correctly. The DNN has the language set for my locale wich is pt-BR. The texts i input using MHTML module works fine showing the accents only the texts within custom module/user control don't show correctly.

Anyone can help to solve the problem ?

Thank you.

Re: Accents on custom module.

how do you store the data - in database? are you using the correct data types (nText instead of Text and nvarChar instead of VarChar)? Besides have a look at the module developers localization guide available from the documentation page in resources menu above.

Re: Accents on custom module.

I bet you have bad encoding in your ascx or vb/cs files :-) Try set correct encoding (UTF-8) in Visual Studio:

File - Save File As... - (press arrow next to "Save" button) - Save with Encoding - choose Unicode (UTF-8) - done.
