Help Needed for DNN 4.3.5 and Spanish (es-MX)

I am running DNN 4.3.5. My default language is en-US.  I've installed the Spanish (es-MX) Language Pack.  When I click on the Language Selector the only thing that changes are [User], [Login], and [CurrentDate].

Why is the content inside my Text/HTML modules not changing to Spanish?  What other steps do I need to take please?

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Re: Help Needed for DNN 4.3.5 and Spanish (es-MX)

how do you expect the content to change? autotranslated?

Currently DNN supports localization of "static elements" into any language by language packs. If you want to create true multilingual portals, you need 3rd party modules, e.g. from Locopon or Apollo.

Yes, for some reason I was expecting DNN to autotranslate.  Does this mean that I have to translate the content in each module and create/edit the respective language pack?

Thanks for the reply.  I'll take a look at the third-party solutions also.

Re: Help Needed for DNN 4.3.5 and Spanish (es-MX)

have you ever been confrontated with autotranslated texts? Even the most expensive ones as microsoft is using on MSDN are far from being perfect and specialized for a pure technical context.

Language packs are for static elements only, module content is stored in DB and needs special modules that can handle it, where you can switch the language you are editing. There are also modules from Locopon and Apollo to localize page names and titles (including the menu and breadcrumbs) as well as module names.

Re: Help Needed for DNN 4.3.5 and Spanish (es-MX)

Yes, I have seen autotranslated text before.  Try http://www.freetranslation.com. You might be familiar with it.  It is not, to my knowledge, DNN but a cool service anyway.  The translations are far from accurate but it helps.

OK.  So I need to create/edit a language pack correct?  Are you saying that I need to manually translate the English text in each module into the appropriate language and then place that text into the appropriate language pack?

The DNN Localization instructions make you think that the translation of text is automatic (e.g. Upload your Language Pack--> Select Locale--->Toggle the Language Selector --->Page refreshes to new language.)  Not so?
