Re: HELP

You are right !

For me, it was necessary to use both solution, Apollo and Locopon. For core modules, I am using the Locopon feature which enables to hide/show a module, depending of the locale. This way, you put two instances of the same module in your page, one in language 1, one in language 2. Then, you hide/show one of the module, depending of the locale...

SEO of language packs?

Hello all,

We're buliding a new site for our company and from what I understand after testing with the Apollo language solution, only the default language will be indexed by search engines.

For example, looking at Sebastians site www.deutschnetnuke.de, I found that it is almost only indexed in english even if it has as much german content as english.

I think this comes from that the URL does not change when you change language and search engines cannot index two pages with different content but with same URL.

The ideal solution would be to have the language permanent in the URL, e.g. www.mydomain.com/de/home.aspx and www.mydomain.com/en/home.aspx.

Or have I missed something here?

Emil
