Re: How can I switch the site languages?

I am afraid that I am not advanced enough to understand all answers. I need a better knowledge and I will first read the great book (Professional DNN 4) to progress.
I still do not know which solution will best fit my need (I would like a website in both langage, english and french, based on the content I currently have on my site declic.video.free.fr )
I will certainly test the free module to have an idea, and I will come back with questions. What would be ideal for beginners like me is to have an idea of what can be done by the other non-free module (Apollo one's). But it seems to be something "secret", I do not understand... :-(

Re: How can I switch the site languages?
I use DSLoacalizator, it works well for me for localizing page titles, module titles, and disabling pages in certain locales.  For all of my localized content I create my own modules; though you could use DSLoacalizator to do it, it is just a little akward.

AFAIK, with DSLoacalizator you can't actually localize the content of the module, what you can do is place one module for each language on the page and then hide the unneccesary modules based on the user selected locale.  This would probably work fine for one or two locales.  I have ten now, and need to add more, so it was easier for me to create custom modules to handle localization.

Re: How can I switch the site languages?

Hello,

When I asked those questions, I was a beginner. Now, I have tested both solutions, and I better understand.
Thanks to everybody for all the informations provided, and I will give you my feedback now:

I use... both Apollo modules AND Locopon solution !!
One for localising my menu and contents of certain module (HTML, survey, announcement, FAQ, Links), the other one to hide other non licalised module based on locale selected (I have two similar module, one for each language, and one is hidden/displayed depending of the locale selected).

The combination of the two methods give EXCELLENT results, I am very satisfied. Thanks to both of you.

PS: Do not take my current website as an example, it is not using it correctly for the moment, I am still working on the dev... The prod will be soon available and fully localised !! Hehehe
