Is there a manual work around for this?  Sounds like it is a problem when a directory is deleted outsie of the file manager or the system. We do that on a regular basis, but would stop doing that if it is causing problems. Since there is no new versions after 3.3.7 for the .NET 1.1 world, I do not have a good path with some of my modules to go to 4.x so I am stuck here for a while.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

AFAIK the only chance you got is modifying DNN source code. I still suggest to upgrade, as most DNN3 modules run in DNN 4 I suggest to test upgrading your installation on a separate system
