Notifications in Language Editor
Modified By Rob Poretti on 11/19/2006 11:40:59 PM)
Has there been some "road-map" discussions for notifications within DNN?  Right now notifications are in the Language Editor mixed up with a bunch of non-related strings.  I appreciate that these items might be localized, but to stuff *everything* in there is a bit much.  For one thing, it's slow as molasses to load that page and activate a text field - others here have complained about this.

Why not split off some of those items into "logical" groups and have them load into a few seperate pages.

Secondly; are there some road-map improvements coming to DNN notifications in general?  (I appreciate I might be asking this ion the wrong place, but notifications are currently handled by the Language Editor, and this is where localization happens.  Feel free to move this query to some other forum if you see fit.)

If DNN is going to advertise itself, as "ideal" for creating web-based "Enterprise Applications" then we need some basic improvements here.  For starters, the ability of sending more then just "plain text".  We should take a look at the nice html notifications that this forums sends (for example) as a possible model.

Comments?
