Problem Getting tutorial detail after search

Hi,

I'm having an intermittant problem with pulling up a tutorial detail after a search using search 3.0.1 and DNN 4.3.5.

Please see http://www.varealtor.com/MemberServices/VARLegalHotline/SearchtheHotlineOnline/tabid/76/Default.aspx

If I enter a search (Try fsbo) I get a set of results. Sometimes I can click read more and get the article detail but other times It takes me back to the Overview page (First Category) with no detail. I cant seem to find what causes it work sometimes but not others.  It works fine if I go to a main category and click read more.

Any Ideas?

Michael

Re: Problem Getting tutorial detail after search

I have also just discovered the same problem. It does seem to be intermittent aswell. It seems quite a random bug.

We do have two help modules across two separate pages on this portal, and searching within one will display items within the other. Whether this is part of the problem, i'm not sure.

There's a clear difference between a working URL and a broken URL for the 'Read More..' link on the Search Results page:

Working: http://domain.com/Authors/tabid/181/TID/566/cid/17/Default.aspx

Broken: http://domain.com/Authors/tabid/181/TID/566/cid/-1/Default.aspx

The cid (CategoryID I assume) is always -1 when the link is broken.

Any news on whether this has been/is being fixed?

Re: Problem Getting tutorial detail after search

What's the progress with this one? Will a fix be in the next release? Quite eager to get our Help section live. Thanks.

Re: Problem Getting tutorial detail after search

What version of Help are you using?  The latest release 3.0.1 passes the moduleID to the search routine so it only returns help from that module.
