Two Major Problems with Help...

Generally the module is good and I think it is coming along.  Here are my two complaints/suggestions.

1. When deleting topics and later adding new ones to the same category, the pagination is messed up.  I have TWO topics, and the first one is now listed as 5 of 2.  Yeah, that should be fixed... ;-)

2. When reading a topic, paging (this applies to the forum module, as well) should be at the top AND the bottom, not just the bottom.  Can't even begin to tell you how much of a pain this is, especially if topics and/or forum threads are long or numerous.

Regards,

Vollerworld

Re: Two Major Problems with Help...

These are problems, especially the first one.  A client is considering using this module, but when I showed him the DNN.com online Help section, the first thing he noticed was the page number errors.

Any guess on when this might be fixed?

Thanks,

Chris

Re: Two Major Problems with Help...

yep, it's fixed now.  we have 5 items left to go for the next release which I'm planning on finishing on the weekend.  Then into the release process it goes.

As for adding the pagination at the top I'll discuss it with the team and see what they say.  Where exactly would you put it?

Re: Two Major Problems with Help...

Philip, thanks for writing.  Glad to hear it's already been addressed... as far as placement...

I think the most logical place for top paging might just be a space or two above the topic title... maybe like this?...

Re: Two Major Problems with Help...

I agree paging should be both above and below - much more fun to use.

We are looking at changing this functionality to use the Paging Control - as used on the Repository module - to ensure a consistent theme throughout modules.
