Re: Child portal AD authentication Autologin

The .04 beta version (http://dnn.gmss.org) is the only version that works with Child Portals and auto login for version 4.6 and above. I don't know about below 4.6 as I wasn't involved with the project at that time.

Excellent work.  Thank you for the reply and the update.  I now have a fully functional test dnn portal instance with 200+ child portals that autologin for network users and registration for external users.

Thanks Again Mike

A few notes for others in similar pursuit
Upgrade to 4.8.2 if prior to 4.6
use dotNetNuke 4.8.2 install zip
follow instructions from http://www.mitchelsellers.com/Blogs/tabid/54/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/106/Upgrading-DNN-3x-to-DNN-4x.aspx
add auth 1.0.0.4 by install and replacing any instance of windowsSignin.aspx with one from 1.0.0.4 zip
remove old adsi dlls if they exist in bin
change providers in module settings table (manual record change via db client) to DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.ADSI.ADSIProvider, DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory
web.config uncomment impersonate="true"  username="domain\username" password="someStrongSillyThing"
site must be added to "trusted sites" on client browser
clear cache via host settings page
restart application via host settings page

Works for me!
