LiveID can't remove association between accounts
Modified By ajsansone on 6/21/2008 8:08:23 PM)

Once you associate your Windows LiveID with your DNN account is there a way to remove the association? I can't figure this one out...

There is no GUI to achieve this; but you can from the db. Check the user tables and you will know at a glance - its pretty easy if you are ready to do it manually from the db.

The UserAuthentication Table had the stored value not the Users Table. Also the best feature I would like to have with my user authentication is to keep them signed in even if they close out of the browser window. Is there a way to keep them signed in with cookies (i.e. cache) turned on so when they open their browser again and go to my website their still logged in all the time?

Re: LiveID can't remove association between accounts

I don't believe so but I'd have to look deeper into the LiveID code. The reason I don't think there is a way is because I've run into it on Microsoft sites where I have to resign in on a regular basis.

Re: LiveID can't remove association between accounts

Why would it matter if the LiveID Service requires you to keep resigning in? Once DNN is signed in there should be a way to keep you signed in through DNN and not LiveID, even if you close your browser window.
