Gallery module is not working properly in different language

Hello to everyone,

I am developing a portal with DNN and it is a need to include the gallery module in order photos and videos to be sheen in the site. My probleem has to do with the albums in defferent language. Before continue to describe the problem I'd like to inform you that I am in Greece.

Let's take it from the begnning. I am creating two albums in the gallery (in Greek language). I try to insert photos in a specific album but the photo is inserted out from both albums. Ii was very strange to me and I tried the procedure from the beginning a lot of times. The last time I removed the albums and re-created them in English. Following the same procedure, I had the expected result. Each photo has been inserted in the appropriate album.

The problem is that I need this albums to have Greek titles. Do you know how this problem can be fixed?

Re: Gallery module is not working properly in different language

Hello Anastasios,

I think the problem is, to add a file in a album, you have first go in the album and then add the file.  But please think about the Gallery Module 3.x is still Beta, and it will not Work on DNN 4.6.x and above.

We are working at time on a new Version that using DotNet 2.0.  There we are testing on european languages too.

Regards

Matthias

Re: Gallery module is not working properly in different language
Dear Mathias,

Thank anyway for your response. I was expected something better from this module. But if it is still BETA I think that I’ll survive until you complete the module.
Fortunatelly I am running DNN 4.5.5 and it works fine (if you do not count the problem with the Greek language).

I’d appreciate If you give me an e-mail when the module goes live because my company is very interested on this feature.

Thank you again for your time and I hope I’ll learn more news from you.

Regards,

Anastasios Stellas.

Re: Gallery module is not working properly in different language

Hello Anastasios,

we still working on the new version yet.  We think not to start the release process between 4 weeks and more.  If it is released we announced it in the Forum "Announce it", and also we blog if we go to the release process.

Regards

Matthias
