Non Admin User No Theme Choices

Hello All,

I created a new DNN role of 'Editor'

I want indiviuals that have the 'Editor' role to be able to add new galleries. They can, however they can not change Themes.  It is only available for Admins.

Does anyone know how to allow none admins, those I have assigned the role of 'editor' the ability to change "Themes"?

Regards,

Chris

Re: Non Admin User No Theme Choices

Hello Chris,

If you go to the Module Settings you must give the Role "Edit" permissions.  Then the users in this role will have access to the configuration of the Gallery module.

Re: Non Admin User No Theme Choices

Matthias,

Logged in as admin I get a 'configuration' that has

URL:

Theme:

Quota:

And so on...

When a person in the 'editor' role logs in they see and can edit configuration options sush as 'Display Options', 'Feature Settings' and 'Private Gallery' but they can not see

URL:

Theme:

Quota:

And so on...

The person in the 'Editor' role inherits the 'Edit' permissions from the page but I verified that the role does have the proper 'edit' permissions

Wondering if you are talking about another area to adjust the settings permissions? Maybe a global module area?

Regards,

Chris

Re: Non Admin User No Theme Choices

Normely the Page permission will give to the Module setting.  But please check the Module setting if it is done.

Re: Non Admin User No Theme Choices

Ok Chris,

The Edit Permission gives only permission to edit Albums.  I can not check it at time on Gallery 3.x versions.  But it looks it is by design, that only Admins can configurate the Gallery Module.  So this where an Enhancement if it is needet.
