What is the current status of the Gallery module?

I am trying to see what the current status of the Gallery module is....as far as I can tell it is still in BETA and not recommended for use in production. Can anyone confirm this for me?  The post I saw was really old....so I'm unsure of whether it is still accurate.

Also, when the Gallery is available, will it be able to dynamically rotate images at some specified time interval?  If not, can anyone recommend a free image rotator? thanks in advance

Paul H.

Re: What is the current status of the Gallery module?

Yes, the current gallery module is in beta and has not been released as a production version yet.

The beta gallery module has a slideshow feature that will display the images in a slideshow.  That is about as close to an image rotator as it will do.  At the moment the plan is to get the release released, then new features added.
