Yes the Gallery is the right module, and it is still marked as Beta.  We are working at time on a .Net 2.0 based Gallery Module that will be run on DNN 4.4.x or higher.

Also there is a new Forum Version without Gallery integration in the relase proccess.  (See Products/Developement/Release Tracker)

Re: Error on publishing Web site with DNN 4.6.2

Thanks for your help.

I've seen the Products/Developement/Release Tracker, but I can't download any files.

How can I download the install package or how can I publish my portal ?

Thanks

Re: Error on publishing Web site with DNN 4.6.2

You can not download files from Modules that still in release process.  After fishing the release process you can get the released Module from the Download page.

I've been going through the same thing in another post. I CANNOT PUBLISH THE WEBSITE. The replies while timely haven't addressed the issue. I have followed install instructions exactly as written. The install itself worked and I have a test site on localhost. I've read the step-by-step setup in forums.asp.net by adefwebserver and where it says to build, I can't. I get errors that reference A GALLERY MODULE THAT DOES NOT EXIST in the solution.

Error    2    Error parsing attribute 'enableEventValidation': Could not load file or assembly 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery, Version=3.0.11.3077, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.    C:\wwwSS\DNN\Website\DesktopModules\Forum\Integration\Integration_MediaGallery.aspx

you can compile library only, preccompilation of the complete site is not supported. Gallery is still a DNN 3 module, that can be compiled with VS 2003 only.

Huh? No, there are references to it in the latest download "DotNetNuke_04.06.02_Source.zip". What am I missing here? Someone please explain. If someone could point to one set of detailed installation and setup instructions for Dotnetnuke 4.06.02 that would be very helpful. Thank you.

Re: Error on publishing Web site with DNN 4.6.2

The error you are getting about "enableeventValidate" referencing gallery 3.0.11 is because the forum module was compiled against the Gallery 3.0.11 library (gallery.dll version 3.0.11).  If you want to recompile the forum module you will need to have this gallery module installed. (or at least available for compile)  So your solutions are:

1.  Remove the forum module.  Then it won't compile and won't complain that it can't find things.

2.  Remove the gallery 3.0.12 (also called 3.1.12) and install the 3.0.11 version.  Then the forum should compile.

Note:  The 3.x versions of the gallery are VERY buggy and I wouldn't suggest running either of them.

Note2: The new forum module (currently in beta, due sometime) removes the references to the gallery module and should have this all fixed.
