Re: cannot edit album

Bllich & Raptor:

Thanks for the information!  I was able to fix my album, as well.  It was originally named "Grants & Scholarships", but now it's "Grants and Scholarships".

Here's the procedure that I had to use:

  1. Figure out the module # for the photo gallery.
    1. I did this by clicking "Settings" for the gallery module and then finding the number in URL.
    2. In my case:
      1. http://www.mysite.com/NewsEvents/PhotoGallery/tabid/55/ctl/Module/ModuleId/378/Default.aspx
      2. The module # for the gallery is 378.
  2. Edit the metadata file.
    1. In my case:
      1. C:\MySite\Portals\0\Gallery\378\_metadata.resources
    2. I changed two lines pertaining to the album in question.
      1. From:    <file name="Grants &amp; Scholarships">
        1. To:     <file name="Grants and Scholarships">
      2. From:    <title>Grants &amp; Scholarships</title>
        1. To:     <title>Grants and Scholarships</title>
  3. Rename the corresponding subfolder.
    1. From:     C:\MySite\Portals\0\Gallery\378\Grants & Scholarships\
    2. To:          C:\MySite\Portals\0\Gallery\378\Grants and Scholarships\
  4. Restart web site
    1. Host -> Host Settings -> Restart Application

Again, I thank you both for this great information.  I posted this same problem a couple of months ago but never got a response.  Procrastination pays off, yet again!

See Ya,
Van
