Can't configure blogs or create new blogs 

Hi,

I am using DNN 4.08.04.

When I add the Blog module, five modules are created, but they are all blank and cannot be configured. (I am logged in as administrator).  For example, there is no link to create new modules, no options for configuring search, etc.

I have looked at tutorials and these all show configuration options that I do not have. The list of installed modules shows the Blog module numbered 03.04.00.

Any help / guidance would be most appreciated!

Oops -- issue resolved -- I was in Desgn Mode instead of Edit Mode. When I entered Edit mode I could see the blog configuration options.  I'm posting this reply in case another newbie encounters the same thing.

Hi Susan,

Users that have edit rights should see a link in the 3rd module that says Create My Blog. Click that to get going.

Users or guests that do not have edit rigths will see a message,  You must be logged in and have permission to create or edit a blog.

Do you see either of these messages ?

Hi Susan,

If you cannot see any of the configuration options perhaps your Control Panel is set to View rather than Edit. Check this and if it is, switching it to Edit should show you all the configuration/menu options. Do you mean you checked out the tutorials in DNN Onine Help at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?TabId=787? If you had problems finding what you needed here please let me know so I can ensure it's easier to access in the future.
