Problems with commets

For some reason, my blog just stopped posting comments.  I've been working with users for last couple of days and decided to try to post an entry this morning.

For properly filled out anonymous blog entry's we are getting the follow message.  It appears to be problem with e-mail, but I don' know where to fix it.  Thoughts?

  • Please enter a correct value for Your Name
  • Please enter a correct value for Your Email
  • Please enter a correct value for Subject
  • Please enter a correct value for Message

Re: Problems with commets

Hi Thomas,

what are you trying to do? If I understand well you added a blog entry and now you are trying to post an anonymous comment to it? Could you give some more informations about the values you are trying to enter in the respective  fields?

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Re: Problems with commets

What is happeaning is that I allow anonymous comments on our site.  We have it set up so that all anonymous comments have to be approved first before displaying.

So they have to fill in the "name", Subject is filled in by default, and a comment.  Then press add.  At this point, the system should launch an e-mail to me telling me that I have comments to approve for display.  After all three fields are filled in, they are getting the above error message and comment is not saved.

This was working until a couple of days ago, then just stopped and started generating this message.  I have upgraded to DNN 4.8.4 and the latest blog release and am still getting the same problem.

Re: Problems with commets

Hi Thomas,

do you have more than one instances of the module on the same page? Could you post the address where we can see the issue? If you don't want to send it publicly, drop an email to gnogna82 [at] yahoo.it.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
