Adding many Imports entries to make the sourcecode work???

Hi all DNN pros

I have a conversion question about the developing the Blog module. I am using VS 2005 on a vista machine and DNN 4.8.4 and the Blog Module sourcecode version 03.04.00 (Latest as of 2008-07-04). Why did I have to add many Imports references befor ebeing able to compile the code and could I have set this up differently?

File "ViewEntry.ascx.vb" before editing by me:

File "ViewEntry.ascx.vb" after adding Imports entries:

I had to do so with at least 20 files in the sourcecode. Is this a result of me doing it in the wrong way and is there a better way of setting this up?

My VS Setup:

Re: Adding many Imports entries to make the sourcecode work???

Hi Johan,

as far as I know the Blog module is still developed against DotNetNuke 3.3.7 using VS 2003 and .NET Framework 1.1, using your dev environment may require serious modifications.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
