Blog SKining layout?

Is there a way to change the look and feel, layout, skin, etc of the blog module? Specifically I don't want to display the  "Permalink |  Trackback " on the page. My users are somewhat limited. Thanks

Re: Blog SKining layout?

Hi Brent,

unfortunately at the moment the Blog module doesn't feature a rich look&feel customization. But you can easily hide the Permalink, Trackback, and other objects with a workaround. You need to add a CSS style in your portal's stylesheet like this:

.blog_trackback {
display: none;
}

I suggest you to do this in Admin > Site Settings > Stylesheet editor. Don't forget to hit the Save Style Sheet link before exiting. Let me know if you need further help.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Dario,

Thank you for your help. However that didn't change anything.

Best Regards,

Brent

Re: Blog SKining layout?

Hi Brent,

I am very surprised: I personally tested this workaround on my test environment this morning before replying to your post. I wonder if the CSS style is overridden by a following one. Another cause may be a caching issue, so try refreshing the page in your browser and check if the error persists.

Also: is your installation live? Could you provide a link where I can see it? This would help me finding why the changes are not being reflected on the site behaviour. If you need further help don't hesistate to ask me on this forum.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Re: Blog SKining layout?

Dario,

Thanks again. I Found the appropriate ascx file (ViewEntry.ascx). I set the properties on the Hyperlink to visible= false. Maybe Kind of cludgey but it works with out changing the source code.
