Installing with source code

I have downloaded the sources file for the blog module, and would like to install them on the dnn server so that I can modify the code and debug it. I noticed that there was no documentation included on how to install these files. (I want the source code files installed NOT DLL files). I am sure it is simple, but have no clue where to begin.

Re: Installing with source code

Hi Dan,

the Blog module is a WAP project. You should install the source package as you would with any install package on the latest DNN3 install, and open the solution file with VS2003. When you are done, recompile the module project only and you can start testing.

WSP projects (with code behind and no DLLs) are quite different projects, and I don't know if it worths the effort to convert it to this type.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Re: Installing with source code

Please notice, that DNN3 modules require DNN3, VS2003 and ASP.Net 1.1 to compile.
