suggestion to make it possible to update blog via email

Hello all!

Am I the only one that think it could be an idear to make it possible to ubdate the blog via email. As it is possible on the Googleblog blogger.com
This would make it possible for me to update the blog via eg. my mobile phone, with pictures and all.

Is this af feature that is comming in some future release?

Dan

Re: suggestion to make it possible to update blog via email

Dan,

I am not sure that email is the right approach, although, to each his own.

A better approach, and one that we have been talking about is the implementation of the METAWeblog API. This would allow you to post blog entries using tools such as MS Word, Live Writer or any other desktop applications that support that API.

I think this is simlar to what you want to achieve.

This would not solve my needs, as I have no desktop applications on my mobilephone, and the thing i would like to do is:
- take a picture
- add some text
- send the MMS as email
- few seconds later to let it show up on my blog.

It would me much faster and much more LIVE than have to wait to get home and write on some PC
With the possibiliti to update from a mobilephone where ever you are (almost) it would really be at LIVE blog

Re: suggestion to make it possible to update blog via email

Features like this would help make the blog module more flexible. It would also bring this project closer to more of the modern blogs. DasBlog, Community Server, Movable Type, Word Press and some others support this feature. Anyway, just my 2 cents worth. I am bad about blogging anyway so I probably would not even use it.
