Say it ain't so! 

Removal of the file upload functionality prematurely was a major disappointment.  Just add it back until the core includes this and we will all go back to being happy people.

P.S. My team is using the blog module to track projects assigned to them.  I realize that this is probably going BEYOND what this module was designed to do, but it has worked out extremely well for us.  Now however, it is NOT.

I have seen posts and an issue on Gemini.  Although I do not use that feature in the Blog Module, I can easily see why people would be using it and expect it to be there on subsequent releases.  I agree that this was a poor decision.  Hopefully, popular demand will bring it back.  We'll see.
