What is the Style for the Blog Post subject?

I am also experiencing the text size issue after upgrading the Blog module. I managed to fix the blog body font to my satisfaction (thanks to everyone who posted here with instructions.)

I want to change the font size of the blog post "subject" (the Title on the add blog entry page), but I can't seem to figure out which style I should be updating ...an I've tried most of them that I thought might be it.

Blog_title isn't it, so which one is it?

Thanks for your help,

Karen

Re: What is the Style for the Blog Post subject?

I just confirmed that it is Blog_Title. It is applied to an H2 tag, so maybe you can try doing something similar to this:

H2.Blog_Title {

}

Make sure you CTRL+F5 when viewing on your browser to ensure that the new style is reloaded in your browser cache.

HTH.

Re: What is the Style for the Blog Post subject?

Did you have some content between your braces in your post?

My current style looks like this:

h2.blog_title
{
    font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif;
    border-bottom-width: 1px;
    border-bottom-style: dotted;
    border-bottom-color: #666666;
    margin-bottom: 5px;
    padding-bottom: 5px;
    font-size: 30px;
}

...but the titles don't seem to be following that style at all.  The font is just inheriting the "a" styles from

/Portals/_default/Skins/skins/skin.css

according to WebDeveloper.

I have used ctrl-f5 and even shut down my browser and restarted it, just to be extra sure.

So it appears to me they aren't using the h2.blog_title font or font-size.

My skills around stylesheets are new, so if I'm missing something about how all this works, please feel free to talk newbie to me

Re: What is the Style for the Blog Post subject?

Hi Karen,

according to what I see inside the ViewEntry.ascx control the title of each entry is rendered using the h2.blog_title style:

  <div class="blog_head">

<h2 class="blog_title">

<asp:hyperlink id="lblBlogTitle" runat="server"></asp:hyperlink>

</h2>
  </div>

You should be able to modify it through your module.css file in DesktopModules/Blog folder.

Best regards
Dario Rossa

Re: What is the Style for the Blog Post subject?

Well, there's definitely something odd going on with my site.

I can succesfully change some of the characteristics of the blog_title style, such as the dotted line weights and styles, but changes to the font styles result in no change at all to the actual blog title - changing the font type, the size or the weight does nothing.

I'm at a loss as to what to try next.

It is as if these styles are being overridden by some thing else.
