I have implemented the following customizations for the Blog module that I believe would be very helpful:

1. Making certain fields being displayed optional. For example, for one client's website I removed the time and username of the blog entry and blog "roll"
   

   I believe that this is helpful since sometimes only one person adds blog entries and/or the blog is not updated that much so the material seems out of date at a much quicker rate with the date of entry shown.

   I removed it using CSS but it would be nice to be able to have a setting to do so.

2. Create a setting so that the full article entry can be shown in viewing the entire blog.

   Currently on the "blog roll" you need to click on "read more" to get to the full article from the summary of the blog. If I am not mistaken many blogs do not operate like this and some people may have a preference to view the entire blog entry upon first visit.

   Again, the best thing would be a setting to choose.

The following I could not implement with the current blog module but in my opinion would be a great help to users of the module.

1. Give a non-administrator the capability to edit any post from any of the child-blogs. Currently (to my understanding only an administrator can do this).

That's it for now :) I realize you guys are very busy and this post is only meant to improve the module. The current implementation works very well and I thank ALL parties involved that makes the blog module possible!

first of all thanks both of you for the great feedback you are giving. Then:

1. This can be addressed easily through stilesheet customization, but it takes admin permissions, and a setting should work much better, indeed.
2. This feature is already available in the current version: just set the Limit Blog Summary To: setting to 0 (zero), and be sure to leave the summary blank. This way the whole entry will be displayed, and no Read more link will be used.

The last enhancement conflicts to the actual edit permission policy: there is a tight relationship between edit permissions and blog's owner. This may change in future versions, with a more flexible role management service. I would be careful assigning edit permissions to the page, this may lead to security leaks you may want to avoid.
