Bug? Strange characters at end of blog summary

Occasionally, strange characters appear at the end of blog summaries where the “…” appears. Is this a bug that is being addressed?

For example, in Antonio Chagoury’s blog, the entry “Blog 03.03.00 Released!” appears as follows.

Fellow DNN Bloggers,

If you have not noticed yet, the Blog module version 03.03.00 has passed QA and is now available for download here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/125/default.aspx  -- Hip hip, hurray!

If you would like to& ...

Note the “&” at the end.

In my client's blog, "&am" is showing up at the end of a blog entry.

Thanks!

Re: Bug? Strange characters at end of blog summary

Hi FMeyer,

the characters that appear at the end of the description are caused by the truncation algorithm used by the automatic generation of  the description from the entry. This happens only if a description for the entry is not provided by the author, and the module creates one truncating the first ppart of the entry. In version 3.4.1 this behaviour will be enhanced very much. In the meantime, you can avoid this manually providing a description for each entry.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
