Customize EditBlog.ascx

I am customizing the EditBlog.ascx so that when a user is creating their blog they don't have all those options shown. I have hidden all of them by setting "visible=false" and it is working great.

There is a field "Use this email for the "managingEditor" rss field". What is this for?

All users that can create a blog must be logged in, so if I wanted to fill this field with the user's email address by default how would I do that? Can it be accomplished by editing the EditBlog.ascx?

Re: Customize EditBlog.ascx

Hi dkirsche,

the ManagingEditor is a field in the XML data of the RSS feed to give contact informations about tha manager of the contents that are syndicated:

...

Prepopulating that field with the user's email would require modifications to the source code, unfortunately it cannot be done editing the .ascx file. Let me know if you need further explanations.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
