actually, it was removed for a reason. There was a problem in an earlier version of the blog module where if recent blog entries were overly large they would cause database lag (see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1677/Default.aspx ) for the full reason. I believe the blog team were going to update the module to reduce this potential risk (probably by changing the feed to partial data or/and stripping images), but I'm not aware of the status. Once a solution is in place we'll add the link back.
