problem with Archive (Calendar View), dates and time zones

When I enter my blog entries, it's usually at night (EST) and when I look at the db (dbo.Blog_Entries) the AddedDate is always a few hours ahead.  That's cool cause I figure DNN knows about Time Zones.  It should, I setup my DNN Admin|Site Settings|Advanced Settings|Other Settings|Portal Time Zone to the correct time zone (-5:00, EST) as well as the Blog settings are set correctly, Date And Time Options|Time Zone (again, -5:00 EST).  So why is when I look at the Calendar of blog entries it's showing me the UTC 00:00 times for the entries?

What I mean is, the entry that is logged in at this evening (08/13/2008 9:47PM) has an entry in the db of tomorrow (08/14/2008 1:33 AM).  The Archive shows today as the highlight day indicating I have a blog entry (Great) but when I click on the day/link it doesn't show anything.  But if I click tomorrow (8/14/2008) I can see the entry that should be displayed today.  What is going on and how do I fix it?

You can see what I mean if you goto this link.

I have tried undoing all the time zones back to 00:00 but that doesn't work neither.  Anyone have any ideas please?  Thank you.

Re: problem with Archive (Calendar View), dates and time zones

Hi Henry,

the team has been dealing with the issue since some time. In the meanwhile it gets corrected in future versions, I learnt that it can be fixed entering an incorrect timezone in the blog's settings just to make the entries date match the correct publish date.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Re: problem with Archive (Calendar View), dates and time zones

Thank you for the feedback.  I just changed the blog time zone to 00:00.  Now the calendar/archive hyperlinks are consistent, but it just looks weird to see I created blog entries for 2:00 AM.

THanks.
