Re: Setting up Roles for using Blog

I have another problem

- I add a blog entry, the recently blog list is OK

- After that, I edit the entry (which is created recently)

- :O The blog entry isn't displayed in the recently blog list.

- However, when i click into a date in Blog Archive, i can see the blog entry.

How can i display the blog entry to the recently blog list?

Thanks and Regards,

Re: Setting up Roles for using Blog

I edit the entry (which is created recently) ... :O The blog entry isn't displayed in the recently blog list.

I've had the same problem after I set up the blog originally. I waited a day and the problem went away. Now I cannot duplicate it anymore. Here are a few things to look out for:

  • Make sure that you have edit permission to the blog module.
  • The View_Blog window switches between "individual blog view" to "view recent entries" Make sure you are looking at the right one.
  • Make sure the "Published" box is checked when you edit the blog entry.
  • Make sure the blog is Public in the Blog settings.

Other than that, could it have something to do with timezones? Please post here what you find, thanks...

Re: Setting up Roles for using Blog

Hi,

I am having problems allowing a specified role to edit/create blog entries.  I have installed the latest version (03.02.00) and do not see all of the modules listed in the original post.  I don't have Roll or Menu.  I do have:
   -  Search
   -  Archive (calendar)
   -  Blog List
   -  New Blog
   -  Entry

In each case, I gave the specified role view/edit access.  At this point, only 1 blog exists and it does not contain any children.  When I log in, using the specified role, "Help" is the only option available from the menu.  Any ideas?

Scott
