Re: Setting up Roles for using Blog
If the New Blog module is set for registered users to be able to edit it, the registered user can also change the module title to anything. But if the create new blog module is not set for registered users to be able to edit it then it will say that the user needs edit permission to start there own blog. I was wondering what I need to do for a registered user to be able to create his/her own blog and not be able to change the module title. I am also having the same problem with the Forum module. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Setting up Roles for using Blog

I have also setup a blog expecting to be able to let everyone in a specific group contribute to the same blog.  Unfortunately, it appears that the Blog Module isn't going to let me do this...

Will someone "in the know" let us know if the blog is working as designed or if we need to start looking for an alternative. :(

Thanks!

Ian

Re: Setting up Roles for using Blog
Dear SchelianHP,
I am working with DNN 4.3.7 and having installed the Blog module to a page. I have created a root blog with 3 child blogs. I have tried in vain to set the proper persmissions for another user to edit and add entries. I notices that the Blog module actually adds 5 modules to the page.

I followed the instructions in the training video but it does not work. When the user logs in they can see the down arrow on the top left hand of the module. However, the only option that it reveals is help. So I think I am not setting the permissions of the page/module correctly.

The DNN is using integrated windows authentication. I have given access to this user/role to News Module. So I can not see why the same logic/procedure do not work with Blog Module.

Any help is appreciated.

Re: Setting up Roles for using Blog

I am encountering the same problem. Is it not possible for more than one user to update the same blog (without sharing username and password)?
