Hello! I have a problem with adding new entry to my blog. I' logged in as HOST admin and i CANT add new entry to my own blog. Users have same problems... Can smbd explain how can i fix it ? See the trace log:

Error: Edit Entry is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: The server tag is not well formed. ---> System.Web.HttpParseException: The server tag is not well formed. ---> System.Web.HttpException: The server tag is not well formed. at System.Web.UI.TemplateParser.ProcessError(String message) at

.....

I have the same problem. On the local machine, everything was fine. But since I copied this portal to the host, I have such problem. Tried to create the portal from the very beginning and the same problem.

Did you finally fixed this problem or have any idea?

I have also setup a blog expecting to be able to let everyone in a specific group contribute to the same blog.  Unfortunately, it appears that the Blog Module isn't going to let me do this...

Will someone "in the know" let us know if the blog is working as designed or if we need to start looking for an alternative. :(

Thanks!

Ian

I was wondering about this also.  Can more than one user share a blog and add entries and be credited as the author?  Right now, when I allow a user role to add entires, the author is always shown as the Administrator that created the blog, regardless of who really submitted the entry.  Is there a setting that allows multiple authors on a single blog?  Thanks,

-Jim

Re: Setting up Roles for using Blog

Hello Folks,

At the moment, the blogs are "personal" which means that only one person can post entries to his/her blog. There is currently no concept of "sharing" - just one of ownership.

We will be working on extending this and allowing multiple users post to the same blog in future versions.

I hope this clears things up.

Re: Setting up Roles for using Blog
Hello, i'm a DNN newbie, and i'd like to understand this simple question, hoping some very kind person could answer even if it's obvious: may I produce a child blog who's not only EDITABLE but also VISIBLE only to a particular role or user of a DNN installation? I mean for creating sub blogs in a complex system and avoiding confusion between the many blogs created.

I hope to not have posted a stupid question, just in case forgive me, i'm just learning this new amazing technology :p
