DotNetNuke Corporation Employee DotNetNuke Corporation is responsible for the strategic vision and management of the overall project. Many of our employees are also members of the Core Team.
Nik Kalyani (MVP) is co-founder and Director of Products and Strategy for DotNetNuke Corporation. Nik is a successful entrepreneur committed to the business of technology. His previous venture, Speerio, was built upon the valuable experience he gained developing and growing his prior two software companies. Nik is proficient in many areas of software development and strives to create the highest quality software. Nik is a marketing leader, user experience specialist and evangelist. He blogs at TechBubble.
Joe Brinkman (MVP) is co-founder and Technical Fellow for DotNetNuke Corporation. With more than 25 years of experience in software development and network administration and a Computer Science degree from the United States Naval Academy, Joe brings a broad range of experience and expertise in a variety of software and hardware architectures. He has been actively involved with the DotNetNuke project since the early days of 2003, was a founding Core Team and Board of Directors member and co-authored two bestselling WROX books on DotNetNuke. Joe has been a Microsoft MVP for ASP.Net and during his off time likes making sawdust in his woodshop, chasing a little white ball around a golf course or spending a quiet afternoon in a movie theater with his wife Gloria.
Scott Willhite is co-founder and Director of Community Relations for DotNetNuke Corporation. Scotts technology pedigree is distinguished, including Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and MBA in Information Systems Management degrees from Baylor University. Scott has worked as Senior Manager and Technical Architect for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), acting CTO and VP of Technology for 10x Labs and Program Director for Safeco's Office of the CIO. He's architected, developed and managed systems built on technologies ranging from COBOL to Java and .NET, solving all kinds of real world business problems in industries from banking to healthcare.
Charles Nurse (MVP, ASPInsider) is Senior Architectr for DotNetNuke Corporation. He has been developing software for more than 25 years. He has been a DotNetNuke developer for over 5 years, the last 2.5 years with DotNetNuke Corporation. He was lead developer on the .NET 2 version of DotNetNuke (DNN 4.0).
A native of Bristol, England, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Oxford University. In 1978, he moved to Canada to continue his studies at the University of Bristish Columbia where he obtained a Ph.D. (also in Chemistry), and where he met his wife Eileen. More recently (2003) he completed a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Object Technology Programming at Simon Fraser University.
He lives in Langley, BC, Canada with his wife and daughte Jennifer, who is a Computer Science major at Simon Fraser University. His son Andrew is an SDE at Microsoft Corporation and a member of the ASP.NET team.
Cathal Connolly (MCSD, MVP) is Senior Developer and Security Lead for DotNetNuke Corporation. Cathal has previously working for IT companies in the UK, US and Austria, developing both Web and Client/Server applications using Microsoft technologies. His current focus is the development of secure Banking applications and bespoke Smart Client .net products. Cathal is an MCSD and holds a BSc in Computer Science.
Christopher Paterra is a member of the Bugs & Enhancements Specialist, Core Developer & Lead Release Manager core team roles. Chris has had involvement in many areas of DotNetNuke and his more well known enhnancement includes the Enhanced Survey to use Personalization for vote tracking and added ability to keep results private. Chris has written several procedure documents for the Core Team and helped organize and manage the skinning contest. Former NT MCSE and now studying MSCAD, Chris has VB.NET, C#, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, C, C , VB 6 experience.
Chris has implemented DNN with custom modules for use in a school as their lunch inventory/cash control system using swipe card technology. He has also implemented DotNetNuke it in a Call Center with custom modules as it's intranet. Another exciting project was one of the first releases of the power of DotNetNuke skinning with the launch of a website promoting Christina Aquillera.
Philip Beadle (MCAD) is a founding member of the DotNetNuke Core Team, a Microsoft Certified Application Developer and is experienced in the development and commercial application of the DotNetNuke Framework based on Microsoft’s .NET technology. He has successfully developed and implemented sites for clients in Australia and overseas and has been awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award in ASP/ASP.NET.
Philip is a regular contributor to online technical lists and communities and is a sought after speaker at technology conferences and .NET User Groups such as the Victoria .Net Users Group ( http://www.victoriadotnet.com.au/index.aspx?link_id=84 ). He recently completed the MSDN update tour for Australia and New Zealand and presented at Microsoft's Tech Ed 2005.
Chris Hammond is the Product Manager for Internet Solutions with Engage Software (www.engagesoftware.net) in St. Louis, Missouri. Chris has started a DNN User group in St. Louis located at www.dnnug.com and takes time to speak at user groups around the Midwest to evangelize and teach DotNetNuke. In his free time Chris participates in various activities with the Sports Car Club of America, including autocross and club racing. Patrick Santry (www.santry.com) is a founding member of the DotNetNuke Core Team, CTO of FanGap, LLC, is a best selling author of technology books, sought after speaker, columnist. He has authored over 8 books on server infrastructure and web development.
Erik van Ballegoij (MVP) of Apollo Software (www.apollo-software.nl) holds a masters degree in economics, and started developing web applications in 1997. In early 2005, he started developing a few of the first multilingual solutions for DotNetNuke. Erik's responsibilities within the core team are Project Lead for the "Announcement" module, and core team sponsor for the "Events" and "Chat" modules. Furthermore, Erik is also board member of the Dutch DotNetNuke Usergroup.
Cuong Dang has been working with DotNetNuke for years and has extensive knowledge in DNN skinning. He is a Wrox author with his e-book published in December 2008 about DotNetNuke and Web Standards. He has also been training clients across the country in web design and DNN skinning.
Cuong co-founded dnnGallery, a showcase site for DotNetNuke projects, to help business convince potential customers that there is no limitation in design when it comes to DotNetNuke implementation. Jon Henning (MCSD, MVP) is senior consultant with Solution Partners Inc., http://www.solpart.com/, a Chicago based consulting company specializing in Microsoft technologies. He is an MCSD who has been working with Visual Studio .NET since the PDC release. While he has written several articles dealing with all aspects of programming, his current love has been found in the development rich client-side functionality. Most notably is the Solution Partners ASP.NET Hierarchical Menu which is the menu that is used within DotNetNuke. Vicenç Masanas (MVP) is the principal at Disgrafic (www.disgrafic.com), a software consultancy company based in Banyoles - Spain, specializing in Web development and design on the DotNetNuke platform. Vicenç has been a member of the DotNetNuke Core Team since 2003 where he serves as a core developer. He is also responsible for the Localization and Globalization efforts for the DotNetNuke platform. Vicenç is also the publisher of the dnnJungle Web site (dnnjungle.vmasanas.net) where he provides community support for DotNetNuke, free modules, developer tools, and highly-acclaimed templates for DotNetNuke development since DotNetNuke version 2.x.
Stefan Cullmann is the head of the IT department of a technical association, based in Berlin, Germany. He is a graduate engineer for medical physics with a fable for software development. Stefan wrote his first lines of Basic code on a Sinclair ZX81 in 1981.
DotNetNuke has turned into his favorite tool for running public websites over the last years. As requirements forced him to enhance the platform on his own, Stefan took the chance to join a project team. Today Stefan is engaged within the IFrame, Xml and UserDefinedTable projects.
Stefan loves to use XML and XSL everywhere where possible. He prefers code generation instead of rewriting and he often goes hunting bugs with passion.
Brandon Haynes (brandonhaynes.org) is a member of the DotNetNuke core team, and serves primarily by providing security-related guidance. He is the chief executive officer at Everysport.net Inc., which delivers enterprise resource planning, web-presence, e-commerce, and integration-related functionality to recreational facilities.
A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign – consistently ranked among the top-five computer-science programs worldwide – Brandon has a long history of intellectual curiosity and accomplishment. With more than twenty years of experience in software development, Brandon’s professional interests are currently focused on the nexus between intellectual property law, technology, and business. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree at Harvard University.
Peter Donker completed his PhD in 1999 entitled “SCAFFOLD: Structuring Communication in the Architectural Forum For Online Design” which looked into communication during the design process and how this could be improved using IT. After Delft he left for Enschede where he worked for 3 years at the Telematica Instituut to continue research in ICT and human collaboration. Specifically, one of his focal areas was knowledge management. In 2002 he left for Switzerland to (marry his Swiss girlfriend and) start his own company Bring2mind which specializes in Document Management on the DNN framework.
Salar Golestanian specializes in Skinning and UI, working solely in the DotNetNuke environment. He is currently targeting clients wanting content management solutions, and has years of creative design experience. Salar is working on a number of projects based on the DotNetNuke platform. Salar’s background is in Internet technology using Microsoft tools. He has a Bachelor of Science and MPhil in Physics. He lives with ّhis fiancé and daughter near London UK.
Sebastian Leupold (MVP) is CEO of gamma concept, a solutions company specialized in developing database driven software for PC and web. He studied Economics and Business Engineering at Karlsruhe University and has 17 years professional experience in software applications. Sebastian initiated and took part in several research projects regarding IT and web implementaition for small and medium sized enterprises. Since 2004 he has been creating web portals using DotNetNuke with individually designed skins; he is team lead for module User Defined Table and develops commercial modules as well. Besides other valuable information, his web site DeutschNetNuke provides more than 450 language packs for DotNetNuke framework and modules.
Shawn Mehaffie holds a MCAD (ASP.Net) certification and is working on his MCSD certification. Shawn has been 14 years programming experience in VB.Net, ASP.Net and C# and has worked with .Net since it was released. He was on a team that wrote a Payment Engine web service as part of the Microsoft .Net Blaze program. As a side job, Shawn owns his own company PC Resources, LLC (http://www.pcresourcesllc.com/). Shawn has been a part of the DotNetNuke community since v1.0 and currently uses DotNetNuke to create web sites for his customers (non-profit organizations, churches and small businesses). Shawn is the QA Team Leader, a position he has filled since becoming a core team member. Shawn is excited about being on the DoteNetNuke core team and the positive contributions his team can have on future releases of DotNetNuke. Shawn lives in Blue Springs, Missouri with his lovely wife Josephine and their two sons (Austin & Tyler). Shawn supports a great mentoring ministry called “Saving Our Boys” by donating his time to maintain their web site (http://www.savingourboys.net).
Michael Washington (MVP) is a Website developer and an ASP.NET, C#, and Visual Basic programmer. He has extensive knowledge in process improvement, billing systems, and credit card transaction processing. He has been involved with DotNetNuke for nearly 3 years and has worked on the DotNetNuke Data Access Layer enhancements. He is the author of numerous DotNetNuke modules and tutorials including "Creating a DotNetNuke Module For absolute beginners!". He is one of the founding members of the Southern California DotNetNuke Users group (http://socaldug.org/). He has a son, Zachary and resides in Los Angeles with his wife Valerie.
Lorraine Young is a founding member of the DotNetNuke Core Team who provides assistance in the user experience and documentation areas of the DotNetNuke Project.
Lorraine has extensive experience in developing user documentation, specifications, training and support for DotNetNuke applications. She created and maintains the DotNetNuke Online Help resource which is available online or as an e-Book exclusively from the DotNetNuke MarketPlace.
Lorraine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Writing and Literature and a Post Graduate degree in Orientation and Mobility for vision impaired adults and children. Lorraine works as a freelance consultant and maintains a website at www.dnnangel.com.
Néstor Sánchez studied Journalism and Mass Communications. As a radio personality and popular voice-over professional he created in 1995 the first syndicated radio show dedicated to Bolivian rock. Rockandbol.com is the companion site that covers the scene in his country. After quitting his job in broadcasting, he trained himself as a developer and IT Pro and has been a consultant for broadcasting, mining, finance and airline businesses, helping them implement technology solutions including web based applications, Microsoft software and network infrastructure. One of his most notable accomplishments was the development and implementation of Bolivia's first payment gateway solution for the largest credit card processor. A DNN based solution. Currently an asp.net forum moderator and All-Star member, he frequently contributes to the community and has been working with DotNetNuke since 2002. After joining the Gallery Project in 2006 he was promoted to team lead in 2007.
Antonio Chagoury (MVP) is the CEO & CSA of Inspector IT Inc, a .net and DotNetNuke solutions provider based in Washington DC. Antonio is a Microsoft MVP, INETA Community Champion & Founder of the Capital DotNetNuke User Group (www.capitaldug.org)
Timo Breumelhof has his background in art / design. He graduated as a product / concept designer in 1999 at the Design Academy Eindhoven. He teaches Photoshop (digital collage) and Microstation (a 3D programme like autocad, but better ;-) at an interior design school and does DotNetNuke development and design work for clients.
Bill Severance of Bridgton, Maine, USA is a developer of .NET Windows applications and ASP.NET websites having coded in a variety of languages since learning assembly language for the DEC PDP-10 mainframe at Bowdoin College (A.B. Physics and Mathematics, 1974). In 2005, he retired after 14 years as manager/technical advisor for a community access television station to devote full time to software development. Bill is currently working on a set of modules for a DNN-based church management system. ePrayer, a DNN module for tracking prayer requests is available free on his website. Two other module projects are found in Forge/CodePlex. He's been a member of the DNN Gallery project since spring 2008 and was promoted to co-lead in 2009. His free time is spent as lead sound engineer and treasurer at his local church and in long walks with his retriever, Duke. He and his wife, Laurie of 25 years have traveled to all 50 of the United States and much of Canada by van or RV.
Ernst Peter Tamminga is already 20 year active in the IT field. He is CEO of XCESS expertise center b.v., Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, specialized in custom IT solutions for mid size companies. He was speaker on numerous Developers conferences. He combines his long experience in Development with his role as business owner of a mid size commercial IT service organization.
Mitchel Sellers Microsoft C# MVP, MCITP, is the CEO of IowaComputerGurus a Des Moines, Iowa based computer consulting firm. He has been active in the DotNetNuke ecosystem for a number of years, and is well versed in .NET and DotNetNuke technologies. You will often find him blogging about .NET or DotNetNuke and spending a lot of time in the community forums helping to spread the knowledge. Stefan Kamphuis (MVP) has been working with DotNetNuke ever since version 1.0.7. Starting 2005, he started using DotNetNuke in professional environments for customers. After gaining experience in his profession as a developer at several companies for about 15 years, he is now running his own Company SuperSKa IT Solutions, which is - of course - focussed on DotNetNuke.
Stefan is the lead of the Chat module team. Besides, he's working on organising the Dutch Dnn Usergroup. He's also the DotNetNuke Section leader with SDN, which has been organising european DotNetNuke conferences since 2006.
Benjamin Hermann is a consultant at ITM Beratungsgesellschaft mbH. Since 2005 he supports international medium-sized businesses to analyze, draft, implement and run their DotNetNuke based portals. Also he is the co-founder of Effority.Net, the source of some well known DotNetNuke modules.
Mike Horton is a systems analyst/computer system support technician supervisor for the School of Business at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Robert J Collins is the Founder and President of Brisinger Group, Inc. the premier DNN eLearning Solution's and Software Company. He is a leading force in the international web development community, including being a DotNetNuke Core Team Member, founder of StoreNuke.Net, etc, and is an accomplished software developer in the commercial software stage. Robert was the founder of several software development businesses including Brisinger Group, Inc. (a zero debit/zero vc built company) and WillowTree Software, and works with many nonprofit organizations (free of charge) including Computers for Kids, Northwest Animal Companions, Southern Galveston County Home Schoolers, and many more.
Among his accomplishments is the architecture and development of the Award Winning BGI LMS Portal, a SCORM Conformant Learning Management System built as a collection of DotNetNuke modules; *Elearning Magazine's Best of Elearning Excellence Award 2008.
