The Extensions Forge Team exists to empower developers to make the best use of the extensibility of the DotNetNuke platform and to cultivate participation in DotNetNuke open source project development.
Through collaboration with our friends at
Codeplex, DotNetNuke provides access to world-class infrastructure for managing open source projects and maintains a
directory and aggregated information for browsing them. The Extensions Forge contains all kinds of projects from Skins, Skin Objects and Widgets to Modules, Providers, Templates and more.
Team members participate on various Forge projects; give direction to community members in development forums; actively participate in core beta testing and work to ensure compatibility with existing Forge extensions; blog about development standards, best practices or new techniques; participate in the redesign and development of enhancements to the Forge itself; support and promote DotNetNuke Hackathons; participate in
Project Release Tracking; and generally support anyone trying to build extensions for DotNetNuke.
Obviously, the Extensions Forge Team covers a lot of ground and there are many ways to participate. If you are interested in throwing down some development expertise to assist with Extension Forge related projects, let the team know!
