10 Projects Matched Your Criteria

FAQs

Who is allowed to create projects on the DotNetNuke Forge?

Anyone. Simply log in and follow the instructions to list your open source project on the DotNetNuke Forge. All projects are managed on the CodePlex world-class open source project management infrastructure. Project metrics are updated on a daily basis in the Forge directory based on CodePlex activity. If a project is not activated within 30 days on CodePlex, it will be permanently removed from the DotNetNuke Forge directory.

Can I include commercial modules or skins in the DotNetNuke Forge?

No. The DotNetNuke Forge is only for projects offered under an approved open source license.

If I have already created an open source project for DotNetNuke on CodePlex, how can I integrate it with the DotNetNuke Forge?

Please create your project in the DotNetNuke Forge and then send us an email at forge@dotnetnuke.com with the title of your project in the Forge and the URL for your project page on CodePlex. After you create the project in the DotNetNuke Forge, you will be taken to CodePlex to complete the process. Since you already have a CodePlex project, you should cancel the CodePlex screen and send an email to the above address to complete the process.

If I am hosting my open source project for DotNetNuke on my own site or a third-party site, can I include it in the DotNetNuke Forge?

At this time we only support projects hosted with CodePlex. You should consider migrating your project to CodePlex to take advantage of the robust infrastructure and to allow your project to be recognized in the DotNetNuke Forge directory.

Who owns the project extensions in the DotNetNuke Forge?

Each project is owned by its original developer. The original developer also chooses the open source license agreement that determines how the project can be used, modified, and distributed.

Is there any support or service agreement offered for the projects in the DotNetNuke Forge?

Most projects are supported by the original developers on a volunteer basis. If you are looking for a higher level of support, we suggest you evaluate commercial product options at Snowcovered.com.
