Michael Tobisch answered the question DNN module template development intellisense Problem

This is a problem with VS 2012 as far as I have found out. There are a lot of different solutions when you search the web (see StackOverflow for example), at least for me, none of them worked persistently (some did for a while) :-(

Michael Tobisch answered the question customizing skin / how to create skin packages ?

Ah... only read the half of it ;-)

There are a lot of resources that explain how skinning is done, here and in the web. Look at the Tutorials and Wiki here on the site, and use Google (or whatever you prefer) to search for DotNetNuke Skinning. There are also books about this, most of them were written a while ago, but changes in skinning techniques were not so dramatically since DNN 5 (at least on the DNN side).

You should have knowledge in HTML (5) and CSS (3) before you start, and be aware of browser issues.

Michael Tobisch answered the question customizing skin / how to create skin packages ?

This is possible. A skin is an extension like all other extensions, so go to Host :: Extensions first. Then click the edit button beneath your skin, and click the "Create Package" button at the bottom.

Of course you can manually create a package as well, download one of the skins from the Design Challenge and have a look at what is in the package. The central thing is the manifest file (which has the extension .dnn), in fact it is an XML file that describes what type of extension it is and which files are included.

Michael Tobisch answered the question DNN module Packaging.

It's eating angle brackets and everything in between. So use angle brackets instead of square brackets in the example above...

Michael Tobisch answered the question DNN module Packaging.

Anoter try (use instead of [ and ]):

Yes, this is possible. Have a look at the manifest file, the rough structure is

[dotnetnuke type="Package" version="5.0"]
[packages]
[package name="Module1" type="Module" version="1.0.0"]
...
[/package]
[/packages]
[/dotnetnuke]

Just do it like this:

[dotnetnuke type="Package" version="5.0"]
[packages]
[package name="Module1" type="Module" version="1.0.0"]
...
[/package]
[package name="Module2" type="Module" version="1.0.0"]
...
[/package]
[package name="Module3" type="Module" version="1.0.0"]
...
[/package]
[package name="Module4" type="Module" version="1.0.0"]
...
[/package]
[package name="Module5" type="Module" version="1.0.0"]
...
[/package]
[/packages]
[/dotnetnuke]

Bryan Myers answered the question How to hide HOST account in the member directory?

Found a work around. I created a security/social role called "Member Directory" and set it to auto assign users to the group. Then on the member directory settings I set the filter to group and selected the member directory role. This has the added benefit of allowing users to decide if they want to be in the member directory or not. If they don't they can go to their subscriptions and remove themselves.

Bryan Myers answered the question How to hide HOST account in the member directory?

The above answer does nothing but take you back to a place to ask the question again. I will be researching this and let you know what I find.
