New DotNetNuke 5.6.1 and WebMatrix. It’s Razor Sharp!

On January 13th, Microsoft unveiled a new weapon in the Microsoft arsenal at CodeMash… WebMatrix! And Shaun Walker and Joe Brinkman were onsite to show off DotNetNuke using the long anticipated release of Razor!

Unless you’ve been napping or just returned from a long vacation, you’re probably already aware of this. After all, this has been in the works for a pretty long time… Shaun blogged about Inline Script Development with DotNetNuke back in October. But what’s especially important about WebMatrix for DotNetNuke users is what it means for Microsoft’s re-entry into the “productivity developer” space. Did I say “re-entry”? Yes, I did! Microsoft first released WebMatrix back in 2002 as a lightweight alternative to Visual Studio. So why is this big news today?
